I have only been on Poshmark for a few weeks, but it is easy to see what brands are popular and the clothing styles that are currently trending. Last week I stopped into Goodwill with a watchful eye for a few select brands. One of my finds for the day was a J.Crew merino sweater in a bright pink color. This sweater was in perfect condition. I’m pretty certain the previous owner did not even wear it! Beautiful! I couldn’t pass on the price, knowing I could easily flip this. I listed it at $40 and sold it for $30 last evening. I’m super happy about that!
Today I have a small window of time to hit a local thrift store before dropping my 12-year-old off at gymnastics. I’m hoping to pick up some sweaters and fall weather items. As much as I hate to face the facts, fall is just around the corner.
In addition to that small thrift store trip, I have relisted my handmade items on Etsy and want to become more active on that platform again in hopes of moving old inventory. I am also thinking about posting some sewing supplies or yardages of fabric that I never got around to using. Thoughts on that? Do you have any experience selling supplies on Etsy?
Ebay is another marketplace that I have recently started listing on. Handmade items as well as thrifted things will be posted, although fewer than Poshmark as eBay fees seem to be constantly changing. I haven’t really nailed their prices down yet. Right now, there are no listing fees for up to 50 items, so I will run with that while the promo is there!
