So, this weekend didn’t quite go as planned. I had plans to list some more of my handmade items on Poshmark and work on organizing my sewing room. None of that happened.
While I may have slacked on the “to-do” list, I was able to jump onto a new platform called Relovv. I listed a few items on there and dug into the App to see what it is all about.
Relovv is a selling platform similar to Poshmark, but with some additional benefits. In addition to selling your own gently used clothing, you can help sell the listings of other users and get paid for it! This app is fairly new. There are still a few glitchy things and areas in the making, but it has the potential to surpass the foundation that Posh has laid. I do see a bright future for this selling platform. They focus on current trends as well as vintage threads, with the ultimate goal being to keep clothes out of landfills by “reloving” them! Being a fashion designer, I am always very conscious of fabric waste and ways to use as much of my yardage as possible when cutting. I save many of my scraps to use for smaller projects. I love that Relovv sees this problem in the fashion industry and has joined the online resale community with a specific purpose to combat the waste!
