I started this dress for my youngest daughter before Christmas knowing that I wouldn’t actually get around to finishing it after the holidays! It has been sitting on my mannequin for the past few months waiting for a zipper, a hem, and top stitching. Today, those tasks were finally completed.
The Maine winter has been brutal this year with very cold temperatures early in the season. Little One will need to wait for warmer weather before she can wear this dress. Until then, it will hang in her closet!
While we wait out these final winter months, there will be plenty of time to construct a collared blouse to wear underneath this jumper. I am thinking of going with a solid kelly green lightweight cotton fabric for the blouse.
As we head into the second half of February, I want to know if anyone is as ready for spring as I am? January and February are the two longest months of the year for me. I’m over the cold and the snow. Give me some color!
